What we use for our Panthers is all-screen cages or cages with at least two screened sides (front/top, side/top) with otherwise 2 solid panels or walls (the front and one or both sides.  The screen top provides ample airflow, increased water evaporation, lighter weight and a hotter basking spot without having to worry about overheating the entire environment since it is breathable with 2 screened open sides.   If you live in a cooler or hotter climate, chances are you are using forced air and forced air heat which can dry your ambient air out.  If you heat or cool your home the air can very dry, and chameleon cages featuring solid side and back walls will maintain humidity within the cage better than those that are completely open, as well as preventing the mist based water soaking your walls, or furniture in your home.
